We often believe that we should write only when we’re inspired to put something down. I get it, it’s easy, it’s what’s the norm, but is it the right thing to do?

In today’s episode, I talk about why you should write daily, and not when you’re inspired to write. Learning the art of daily writing will not only make you a better writer, and before you know it, you’ll actually finish your book.

Earlier this year, I learned that a dear friend of mine passed away. My friend Jennette was a fireball of writing energy. She’d come to each guild year and talk about her next project. In fact, Jennette was in the middle of writing her next book when she passed away. That is tenacity!

If you’re not writing, you’re not accomplishing the mission God’s given you.

Inside this episode I’ll cover these four principles to writing every day:

  • Schedule your time.
  • Decide how many words you’ll write in each session
  • Write without editing.
  • Set a timer and write!
