Life take some interesting turns. We don’t know where God is taking us until we get there. This is the beginning of a new bi-weekly podcast called A Devoted Life. This is meant to encourage you as I report on what God is doing in my life and how my testimony can help you draw near the heart of God.

You find over and over in scripture that we are to be placing our trust in God. It doesn’t matter what life throws our way, God expects us to trust and obey. Remember that old song, Trust and obey for there is no other way?

I remember the day I found I was losing my home to foreclosure. It was the most gut wrenching thing I’ve ever felt. Here I was, newly engaged and I was losing everything. It didn’t make sense, I yelled at God. But it’s amazing how his faithfulness shines through, even in our darkest moments.

Maybe you’re sitting here thinking, ”It’s all over. There’s nothing left in me to give my congregation.”

I’m here to tell you, there is hope. Jesus is the only true answer and I pray that through my story in this episode, you’ll find some hope and faith. Because it truly doesn’t matter what we go through, we are to count it all joy and praise the Lord!
