In this week’s Writer’s Minute, I talk about editing your work before handing it off to an editor.
Tired of bad grammatical mistakes being caught by the editor? Fix them by printing out your document, highlight every adverb, adjective and replace with stronger verbs and nouns.
Take time to fix any run-on sentences and misspelled words. If you do this one thing, you’ll have a tighter document and less likely to see red ink from the editor.
Have you ever wondered how to take your message to the next level? Do you wonder what is the point of using all of these social media accounts when I can’t focus on them all? Maybe you’re wondering, how do I get more eyeballs to look at my stuff online.
In today’s episode, I want to peel back the layers of what I’m doing to take my message to the next level. How I’m using Instagram and video as a new strategy. I also want to give you a lesson I’ve learned in writing what we read.

Supergirl’s boss, Cat Grant, said, “You can’t search for your calling on the internet.”

Work-life balance feels like a dream to some and the myth to others. We have all these great ideas, but when push comes to shove we don’t feel we have the strength to get it done.
In today’s episode, I want to peel back the layers of Self Doubt and help us create the life that we want. But it’s going to take sitting down creating a plan and pressing on to tomorrow.
